My 6-Month Journey Begins

I'm Dr. Sanket Salvi, a researcher with a Ph.D. in Information Technology, specializing in IoT and Li-Fi, and a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Healthcare Data Science. Over the years, I've immersed myself in the realms of smart systems, digital health, and AI-driven solutions. Now, I'm embarking on a new adventure: transitioning into a developer role at Google Pune, focusing on IoT and Digital Twins.

🎯 Why This Transition?

While academia has been a fulfilling journey, contributing to numerous publications and projects, I've always been driven by the desire to see tangible impacts of my work in real-world applications. Google's commitment to innovation and its expansive work in IoT and Digital Twins align perfectly with my aspirations. I aim to bridge the gap between research and practical solutions, contributing to technologies that shape our future.

🗺️ The Road Ahead: My 6-Month Plan

To achieve this goal, I've outlined a structured plan:

• May - June: Deepen my expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes, and initiate a project on Digital Twins in healthcare.

• July - August: Complete the project, document it comprehensively, and share insights through blog posts and GitHub.

• September: Update my resume and LinkedIn profile, highlighting relevant skills and projects. Begin networking with professionals in the field.

• October: Apply for targeted roles at Google Pune and prepare rigorously for interviews.

Throughout this journey, I'll be sharing my experiences, challenges, and learnings here. My goal is not only to document my path but also to provide valuable insights for others aspiring to make similar transitions.
